Alcohol Use Disorder( Alcoholism) Causes Deteriorating Effects on Body

Alcohol use disorder which is also known as alcoholism is a pattern of use of alcohol that usually includes problems in controlling their drinking , preoccupied with alcohol, even if you want to continue the use of alcohol despite knowing that it causes many problems to your health. Some individuals want to use alcohol to get the same relaxing effects on their body. Some are facing withdrawal symptoms when they want to quit the use of alcohol from their lives.

There are many individuals who are involved in using unhealthy patterns of alcohol. This pattern puts their health and safety at a risk. A male can consume 5 or more drinks within two hours while a female can consume 4 drinks within two hours. If the pattern of alcohol causing health issues and distress your daily routine then it means that you are suffering from alcohol use disorder.

The disease can prolong from mild to severe. Early treatment is necessary so that disease shouldn’t prolong. Let’s have a look at the symptoms of alcoholism.




Symptoms of alcoholism


The number of symptoms make alcohol use disorder mild, moderate and sometimes more severe. Signs and Symptoms of Alcoholism include the following:


Unable to control the amount of alcohol consumption on a daily basis.

Making unsuccessful attempts in controlling alcoholism or wanting to control the use of alcohol but are not able to do it.

Spending a lot of time drinking , getting large amounts of alcohol, or recovering from alcohol.

Feeling an urge to use alcohol on a regular basis with different intervals of time.

Slurred speech or fumble in speaking

Feeling less in completing daily work either at school,home or any other place due to excessive use of alcohol.

Craving alcohol even you are facing social,moral , physical and mental health loss.

Going in isolation

Giving up social activities and avoiding people and gatherings.

Using alcohol in risky places especially in driving and swimming.

Feeling reduced effect of alcohol and urge to need more alcohol even consuming more amount of alcohol.

Developing tolerance to alcohol

Experiencing withdrawal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and shaking of body.

Alcohol intoxication occurs which include behavior problems and mental change , impaired judgement, unstable moods, memory defects, impaired attention and poor coordination.

Occasional blackouts occurs.

Very high level lead to coma and even death may occur.
